Articulated Forklift FAQ's

What Is An Articulated Forklift?

Ideal for narrow spaces, articulated forklifts have two sections; the front lifting section and the rear, where you’ll find the operator. The front section of an articulated forklift rotates independently of the rear, allowing you to access pallets from the side. This means the body of the truck doesn’t need to rotate and can, therefore, operate in areas with limited space for a turning circle.

What Are The Advantages Of Articulated Forklift Trucks?

The ability of articulated forklifts to work in narrow aisles is their defining feature. With the design allowing them to have a much smaller turning circle, you can reduce the aisle width within your warehouses and free up space for further racks and shelving. Stack aisles down to 1.6 metres, Lift heights up to 14 metres with a Flexi Forklift.

What Is The Difference Between Reach Trucks And Articulated Forklifts?

Both reach trucks and articulated forklifts are designed for facilities with more arrow aisles. The mast of the reach truck extends and retracts to reach products, whilst articulated forklift trucks have an independent front section that pivots to reach pallets. Articulated trucks are much more suited to fast-paced environments, while reach trucks are ideal for loading and unloading.
