Frequently asked questions?
Driver/Operator Access Control
Checks the driver ID prevents the un-authorised operation of vehicles by anyone other than those in possession of configured smartcard licences for operating designated vehicles.
Pre-Operational Check System
The Pre-operational checks are customisable to meet health & safety regulations for MHE equipment.
• It provides a digital audit trail for management.
Automatic recording of completed checks by drivers for future reference.
• Managers can audit drivers for compliance.
• Question timing is flexible, can be set for the start of a shift or driver change.
• Options for warning or Vehicle Off Road (VOR) in case of identified defects.
• Email alerts can be sent to designated personnel for necessary actions.
License Expiry Management
For individual license expiry management, driver access cards can be pre-programmed to align with each driver’s license expiration date or any future date. This functionality allows you to schedule retraining and manage both your own and contracted drivers based on business operations.
Card Expiry
You can program the driver access cards to align with a specific card expiry date. This functionality allows you to restrict access to your MHE fleet after a certain date, like for an annual medical checkup or for an agency driver on a temporary contract.
Lost Card Management with Remote Capabilities
Experience complete remote control over lost cards – this system eliminates the possibility of unauthorised use should a driver access card be lost or stolen. This feature ensures the prevention of unauthorised MHE operations. This could literally change your operation over night.
Multi-Language Display
The driver interface can display up to two European languages, with each language being activated by the driver access card. The information will be shown in both languages simultaneously. When communication is the key…How cool and helpful is that!
Vehicle Off Road (VOR)
With the TK5 system, trucks can be designated as off-road (VOR) when an issue is detected, ensuring driver safety. During the VOR status, only qualified engineers and managers are permitted to handle the truck for recovery, repair and maintenance. Once the necessary work is done, the truck is taken off VOR status, enabling drivers to resume using it.
Impact Sensing. Action & Reporting!
The TK5 system offers the option to install an impact sensor. This sensor enables users to collect data on impacts that their equipment may experience during daily operations. The reporting suite serves as a comparison tool to promote a proactive shift in culture among your team of drivers. When an impact surpasses a set threshold, the system triggers can activate a timed delay for truck disablement or reduce speed. Additionally, an email alert can be sent to designated personnel within the company for further steps as needed. This data is automatically updated in the driver’s records.
Remote Hour Metering
The system will record and capture. It displays hour metering data, aiding in scheduling servicing, thorough examinations and hours run against a contract.
Messaging
Direct messages can be sent from the online database to a particular driver or truck. The driver must then confirm receipt of the message, this acknowledgment and communication is saved and recorded if any future reference is required.
