Apprenticeships
We offer Apprenticeships within lots of our teams. Whether you are looking to have a career in Engineering, Accounting or even Customer Service. We want to give you a chance to develop and grow. We work closely with our partners ‘WBTC,’ ‘F-tec’ and ‘Damar Training’. With all our roles, you’ll gain real life experience while you’re studying. You’ll be given meaningful work to complete, the support you need for your ongoing study and a supportive manager to help you balance your work, life and study. All whilst earning.
Engineering Training
At Stacatruc, an Engineering apprenticeship provides the opportunity to learn how to inspect, maintain, service, and repair various types of material handling equipment. Did you know our longest serving engineer has been with the company for 29 years!
From forklifts, warehouse machinery, to the latest automated trucks. You will gain hands-on experience with diverse battery technologies and truck telematics. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will rotate through different departments within the company and receive guidance from a mentor to enhance your skills. The program entails a three-year training and development scheme, involving studies in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Whats 3 years?
By completing this apprenticeship, you will not only attain a nationally recognized qualification but also acquire valuable on-the-job experience. The training will comprise a mix of college courses and in-house training sessions. A typical 3 year engineering course.

- Removing & replacing electrical units & components
- Removing & replacing mechanical handling & chassis units & components
- Industrial truck inspection
- Removing & replacing driveline units & components
- Identify & agree customer service needs • Internal Stacatruc training
- Gateway 2 assessment
Year 3
Year 3: Assist in scheduled preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification Training (college & on-the-job)
- Diagnose & rectify engine unit faults
- Diagnose & rectify mechanical handling & chassis system faults.
- Diagnose & rectify electric motors & speed control system component faults
- Diagnose & rectify transmission & driveline system faults
- Understanding of routine maintenance skills & behaviours, regulations & legislation
- Develop and apply communication & interpersonal skills
- Placement/Offer Apprentice of the year competition Graduation
